'Doortal'

This was another large jigsaw print I made during my time as an artist in residence in Missoula. While drawing this up I was considering geology, and how the history that rocks leave behind can give us insight into what environments in the area previously were like. Often, at least in the American South West, areas that were once inland seas, swamps, or jungles are now vast deserts, and the only evidence of these enviroments is in the geomorphology they've left behind.
